Bowood Hotel Wedding Photography

As a Wiltshire wedding photographer, I was delighted to shoot this wedding on the edge of the rolling Wiltshire downs.  Set in 2,000 acres of countryside, Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort is a spectacular estate with parkland and views across the Downs.

My first wedding of the year and it was a corker.  After some initial hiccups with the grooms suit jacket and a security tag, we were off.  ‘Storm Katie’ was forecast but fortunately never materialised as 80 mph winds and ominous clouds made way for sunshine.

The service was held in the 15th century village of Lacock, a favourite with filmmakers and productions including Harry Potter and Pride and Prejudice.  And it felt like a film set with the locals all turning out to wish the newlyweds luck, photo bombing dogs included.

The bride and groom looked so very much in love, with a wedding full of laughs, singing and dancing….in fact I witnessed my first ‘Marry-Oke’, where the bride, groom and guests star in their own pop video.
