Wow, I never thought I would call myself a Covid-19 wedding photographer! 2020 has been the strangest year most of us have experienced. I’ve seen virtually all of my wedding bookings morph into either a postponement or a variant of what was originally planned. Fortunately I’ve not had to manage cancellations but its meant hearing some sad stories from my brides and grooms.

Which is why it’s so lovely to capture a wedding when they are able to go ahead. Despite the restrictions and need to deliver a Covid secure wedding, I’ve witnessed that most Covid-19 weddings have been intimate, joyous and very special celebrations. It almost feels like their is more reason to get married in 2020 than not – we need some joy, happiness and positivity!

Positivity, Love and Enthusiasm beats Covid-19 Secure Wedding

Nicola and Geoffrey’s Covid wedding was just that…full of positivity, love and enthusiasm. I loved the wedding twist on masks, sported by team bride and team groom. Despite the day not unfolding as per the text book, the ceremony did not lack any of the warmth and connection of larger days. I’m looking forward to capturing the party for Nicola and Geoffrey next year.
