Top Ten Berkshire Wedding Venues
I’m a documentary wedding photographer who lives near Berkshire and so naturally I capture a lot of weddings in the county. Unsurprisingly I often get asked by couples about the best wedding venues in Berkshire to get married at so I pulled together my list of the top ten Berkshire wedding venues.
Although I have written this primarily based on the aesthetics and impact the venues have on your wedding photography, I’d like to think that I also have a good feel for the quality of the wedding teams at the venue, the atmosphere and intimacy the venues lend to your day and experience your guests have.
My Top Ten Berkshire Wedding Venues
Choosing the perfect venue for your wedding is one of the most significant tasks to do as soon as you get over the magical feeling of being engaged to the person of your dreams. Most wedding venues get booked long in advance – so this might be a task you want to get done with as soon as possible.
There are certainly some fabulous venues to choose from in Berkshire with the county being blessed with rolling parkland, vistas, country houses, hotels and mansions, and as Berkshire wedding photographer I feel blessed to have them on my doorstep. My list of top ten Berkshire wedding venues is hopefully a useful tool to help you choose your venue.
Berkshire Wedding Photography Testimonial
An exceptional example of a great wedding photographer
If we were to describe Damion with three words it would be: personable, diligent and talented.
Right from the initial video call all the way through the process was a sheer delight. It didn’t take us long to find Damion’s work online and his portfolio said it all. At that point, we decided that Damion was going to be our wedding photographer.
He has a very reassuring and friendly personality which immediately put us at ease and one less thing to worry about on our big day. The engagement shoot was fantastic as it built our relationship with him and gave us a greater understanding of what we could expect on the big day.
On the big day he was very discreet, organised and planned the day out perfectly.
We received the photos when we were on our Honeymoon (which was perfectly timed). We loved the documentary style. Damion managed to capture every detail of the day, and all emotional moments.
The Queensberry album was stunning. It was difficult to narrow them down as they were all so beautiful.
We would like to thank Damion for all his hard work and being an exceptional example of a great wedding photographer.
Top of my Top Ten Berkshire Wedding Venues is Oakley Court.
For couples who want to add a WOW factor to their wedding and make it whimsical, magical and utterly unforgettable – the Oakley Court is the perfect venue in Berkshire. There are several historical monuments on the property to add to the cultural wealth of the place with 33 acres of ground trimmed and maintained like the ones you see in the vintage fairytale motion pictures. The picturesque elegant location and professional services make it one of the best wedding venues of Berkshire.
Soaked in the glorious British history and located among the stunning countryside of Berkshire, Ufton Court is a comparatively undiscovered gem to have a wedding to remember at. Ufton Court has a magnificence 16th century tithe barn for your reception and it’s surrounded by glorious luscious thick grounds to capture some memorable wedding photographs.
Are you planning an intimate small wedding with both tranquil natural outdoorsy locations and exquisite vintage indoor settings? Lillibrooke Manor and Great Barn is one of the best Berkshire wedding venues for an elegant barn wedding. The venue is known for its stunning Great Barn – the grandeur it creates for guests with its high ceiling, wrought iron chandeliers, vintage window frames and spectacularly large doors are worth a visit at least. With the barn you also have a charming two-acre garden for your outdoor wedding shoot with a quintessential English rustic feel.
Have you always wanted a destination wedding but somehow settled for one in town? Well – you can still have the wedding of your dreams and enjoy the comfort of being in your country with The Great House at Sonning as your wedding venue. Located in Berkshire but with a whimsical aura of a secluded riverside – the Great House promises an exotic fascinating wedding location by the river with elegant suites for your guests, delicious food and marvellous interior.
If you’re planning a beautifully romantic, rustic barn wedding you might want to check out Wasing Park in Berkshire. A luxury wedding venue located in the rural suburbs of Aldermaston, Wasing Park’s wedding venue is stunning. The picturesque and scenic surroundings, imaginative and artistic aura are everything you could want to see in your big fabulous barn wedding.
Overlooking the River Loddon – The Mill House Hotel is the best wedding venue to book when you have to accommodate family and friends flying over for your big day. You can plan a small outdoor ceremony in one of the beautiful gardens and have your reception later in the evening in the elegant Marquee that could be tailored to your taste.
De Vere Wokefield Estate – nestled in the 40 acres of parkland with an 18th century mansion and Georgian white house is THE wedding venue for couples looking for a magnificent venue that could accommodate more or less around 500 wedding guests. De Vere Wokefield Estate is enriched with landmarks and monuments that date back to the 18th century with lush green landscapes that add a modernist touch. It’s the perfect place for a wedding with gorgeous bridal suite and luxurious guest rooms for your friends and family.
If you’re a hopeless romantic – the idea of holding your wedding ceremony in the most fascinating royal settings with majestic fountains, elegant food and a stunning backdrop of gorgeous tress would be right up your alley. Royal Berkshire provides you all that with a fully trained wedding staff to help you plan your big day.
If you always dreamed of having a royal wedding – De Vere Beaumont Estate is the ultimate venue for you to get married. The perfect mirage of an ancient 18th Century Georgian white house and 19th Century Chapel surrounded by 40 acres of parkland is what makes this Windsor wedding venue one of its kinds.
Last but not at all least on my top ten Berkshire wedding venues is Trunkwell House.
