Before making the move to Buckinghamshire, I lived in London for most of my life, so I’m really familiar with many of the wedding venues across the city and still consider myself a London wedding photographer – after all the venues are just a stones throw away for me here in Bucks.

I book a lot of weddings and engagements shoots in and around the city, including the beautiful London Parks such as Regents Park, Green Park, Hyde Park and Richmond Park.  People often forget how fabulous London can be with it’s architecture and iconic buildings, bridges and skyline.  Some of my favourite locations for weddings include Roof Gardens Kensington, famed for its rooftop gardens and 4 resident flamingos, One Marylebone with clean lines, simple forms and careful detailing and Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, with its stunning architecture and marvellous grounds.

When I shoot at these locations I do try to encapsulate some of the history and reference points that make these venues so unique, after all it’s why so many brides and grooms choose them for their wedding ceremonies and receptions.  It’s the little details that remind people of how things looked on their wedding day, years and years after they are happily married.

More and more venues are opening up to the idea that weddings can be hosted on their premises, in fact since the mid 1990’s lots of venues have been awarded civil licenses, including London’s most exclusive hotels and even iconic locations like London Zoo and Alexandra Palace….you can even declare ‘I Do’ on the London Eye these days.
