Back Garden Wedding Photographer
As an alternative wedding photographer I was thrilled when Felix and Jack contacted me about their alternative wedding photography. They planned to get married in their family garden which was beautiful and would make for an intimate and unique wedding (just what I like). Mum (Julie) is an event organiser (and the family gardener) so I knew things would run to the letter and the gardens would look amazing.
During our pre-wedding consultation, Felix and Jack talked about capturing natural, candid shots of their guests in a documentary style.
The entire day would be set at the family home in Jordans, Buckinghamshire, with Felix’s brother officiating the ceremony.
An incredible experience and beautiful memories to cherish
Felix met Jack a few years earlier but the stars didn’t align for them and they went their separate ways. A strong believer in fate, Felix knew that they would be together…and so here I am capturing their alternative wedding photography before they start the next and very exciting part of their lives together in Los Angeles.
This was a unique and intimate wedding, reflecting the bride and groom and their own personal style and outlook on life, very much in love and celebrating with close friends and family in Felix’s family home. Having spent some time planning the day with Felix’s parents, it’s clear their is a very strong bond and a close family unit so emotions were running high when father Jack (senior) gave his daughter away to his son-in-law to be, Jack (junior).
With the ceremony on the lower lawn and the reception on the veranda, guests bathed in the sunshine as caterers rustled up a fabulous barbecue in the garden as the sun set.
