BERKSHIRELillibrooke Manor Wedding Photographer
I loved shooting this Lillibrooke Manor wedding. So much time and effort had gone into the detail of the day, with finishing touches that astonished the guests and transformed Berkshires Lillibrooke Manor into the film-set of 2009 animated film, Up!
The medieval manor house was alive with influences from the happy couples travels around the world, bursting with colour from the balloons adorned to the the Great Barn and decorated so beautifully. Whats more tastebuds were tantalised with spices and food from across the globe…there was even a bouncy castle for those guests wanting to take flight. Finally, the wedding cake is worthy of mention – a towering rice crispy creation that took the fancy of many a guest and was begging to be devoured.

Useful Information about Lillibrooke Manor
Some useful information about Lillibrooke Manor
Lillbrooke Manor is a beautiful barn wedding venue that ticks every box for your English countryside wedding. It’s set in 15 acres of grounds and after a short trip along the driveway you arrive at what is said to be the oldest barn in South East England.
A perfect Barn Wedding Venue
One of the unique things about Lillibrooke Manor is the variation in barns available to tailor around your day and how you would like your wedding to unfold. Many barn wedding venues I have photographed, often have limited flexibility on what can be hosted in the barn and even on the number of guests. However, Lillibrooke boasts 2 barns, as well as an Engine Room and beautiful outside space.
The Great Barn
This Grade II listed barn caters for 220 guests and offers you the option to use the space for your ceremony or reception. With a view across the estate to the Manor House and of course the Great Barn gardens, it means guests can enjoy their meal or boogie and only be a short step to grabbing some air outside.
The Great Barn always looks amazing when it’s full decorated and makes from a great wedding space.
The Great Barn Garden
This is a flexible space that lets your guests spill out into, enjoying drinks on the lawn or even a bouncy castle like my wedding photography shows. It’s perfect for the wedding reception drinks in the sunshine or a chilled BBQ in the evening.
The Engine House
Right next door to the Great Barn is the Engine House. It’s a good sized space for guests to relax and chill out in form the party next door and I’ve often seen photo-booths, evening buffets and wedding gift tables set up in here.
An added bonus is that it’s licensed for ceremonies, so should the heavens open it’s another option for your ceremony.
The Small Barn
As a wedding photographer for Lillibrooke Manor this is my favourite barn to capture the ceremony in. I love the ceiling beams and intimacy of this barn which can host up to 120 guests.
The Cloister Garden
With the Cloister garden just outside it makes for lovely wedding photography as guests surround the pretty garden with it’s hanging baskets and manicured lawns. After the ceremony the sheltered section of the Cloister garden offer you the choice to have canapés and drinks, while the kids run havoc around the lawn. Usually when I’m photographing a wedding here it’s a great time to capture candid images.
Manor House & Garden
The Manor House is an imposing red brick stately home built in the 15th Century and makes a great spot for Lillibrooke Manor wedding photographers to capture some beautiful portraits of you, your friends and family. I’ve also used this backdrop for my confetti shot in the past as well.
Cottage Room
Last but not least is the Cottage Room offering you a great space for wedding morning preparations and with it being only a stones throw from the rest of the estate you have no stress with traffic or being late for the big day.
Outdoor Spaces
With so much outdoor space, you can choose between bouncy castles, wood fired pizza ovens, sparklers, fireworks, alfresco dining and garden games. Guests are sure to love the estate and it’s flowers, and it makes a great vista for your wedding photography.
Heritage Venues & Krimo Merrir
It’s not all about the venue and the success of most weddings in my experience as a wedding photographer is the team behind the venue. The head chef Krimo Merrir produces exquisite food that your guests will love and the Heritage Venues event team will wrap you up in care and attention so everything runs just as you had planned.
