This was a lovely engagement shoot with Hannah and Ben in Holland Park last month. We met at the park cafe and then strolled around Holland Park and the Kyoto Gardens, catching up on their wedding day plans and capturing some lovely shots in the morning winter light. The colours in the park were gorgeous with beautiful reds, oranges and greens as the season changes.
Whether you call it an engagement shoot, or a pre-wedding shoot, getting in front of a camera and getting to know your photographer is a great idea before your wedding day. Firstly, we become more relaxed in each others company, which inevitably means we get better photos on the wedding day as you’re more at ease. And secondly, if you’re nervous of having your photo taken its a great way of conquering that fear.
An engagement shoot with me lasts approximately 90 minutes and we chat a little, shoot a little and keep everything relaxed and fluid, not spending too much time in any one spot. You don’t want a crown forming around you. You can see more of my engagement portfolio here.
Hannah and Ben were a joy to get to know and I’m now very much looking forward to capturing their wedding next year.
