FANHAMS HALL
Nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside in a village called Ware, Fanhams Hall is a Jacobean mansion offering you a wealth of options for your wedding day. With a choice of an indoor or outdoor ceremony, this country house has an amazing wedding day team that will make your day run like clockwork.
Jacobean Architecture Styled Mansion
Set in 22 acres of grounds, this grade II listed building, built in the 1400’s has many of its original features like the minstrel’s gallery and Jacobean fireplace.
If like me you’re not sure what a Jacobean style is, Wikipedia defines it as the second phase of Renaissance architecture in England. Much use was made of columns and pilasters, round-arch arcades, and flat roofs with openwork parapets.
Long Gallery
The Long Gallery is, as the name suggests, a long narrow room with a high and ornate ceiling. With hand-carved oak panelling and original chandeliers, this room can be used both for your ceremony and in conjunction with the Great Hall for your wedding breakfast.
The Long Gallery as was often the case with Jacobean architecture is located on the upper floor of the mansion and provides you with a grand ceremony room and entrance as guest sit amongst stunning art collections.
The Great Hall
The Great Hall works well as a setting for your wedding come rain or shine, with a high beamed ceiling and stone framed windows it remains cool in the summer and has warming fireplaces for the winter.
One of the main features of the hall ins the minstrels gallery, offering a unique perspective for your wedding photography at Fanhams Hall.
The Great Hall has a capacity for 120 for your wedding breakfast and 170 for your evening reception.
The Lakeside Pavilion and Japanese Gardens
If you’re looking for a more contemporary feel to your wedding day then the Lakeside Pavilion and Japanese Gardens offer a unique approach to your wedding. The Pavilion has an amazing view across the Japanese Gardens and across the water fountain in the gardens
You can host up to 130 guests for your ceremony or 200 for your evening reception at the Lakeside Pavilion.
Japanese Tea House
For something even more special and for those looking for an outdoor summer wedding the Japanese Tea House is licenced to host ceremonies.
Imported from Japan, the Tea House is an intimate and romantic space, surrounded by the manicured gardens and makes for a completely original wedding day for you and your guests.
Hertfordshire & Ware
The Hertford & Ware is the final option for your wedding at Fanhams Hall. It hosts up to 130 people and like The Lakeside Pavilion, it offers a contemporary feel with lovely, light filled windows providing gorgeous views of the mansion gardens.
Whatever route you go down Fanhams Hall offers amazing choice and will make a stunning venue for your wedding photography.
