London Rowing Club is over 150 years old and has been the home to many World and Olympic rowing champions, indeed, as soon as you walk into the venue you feel immersed into the warmth and welcoming memorabilia with walls adorned in rowing excellence. The most notable nod to Olympic success is the wonderful coxless fours boat from the 1939 Berlin games that hands from the ceiling.
The boathouse offers great light with huge windows opening onto the River Thames, providing guests with amazing views of the River. This Victorian building offers a romantic and intimate venue for your wedding photography.

A luxury and intimate wedding venue – London Rowing Club
Situated along the embankment in Putney, London Rowing Club is a beautiful Victorian building offering glorious views of the River Thames, with views of Bishop’s park just beyond the water. This peaceful location is licensed for civil ceremonies and is perfect for families and friends to come together to celebrate.
The Long Room
The Long Room boasts Team GB’s rowing boat from the 1936 Berlin Olympics suspended from the ceiling, along with other sporting artefacts throughout the club, bringing a sense of accomplishment and charm.
The Fairbairn Room
The Fairbairn Room is a perfect space to welcome guests with drinks and canapes before moving into the wedding ceremony.
The Members Room
The Members Room can be incorporated into a larger event or hired separately, providing an intimate space for parties of 25 people. Like the Long Room, there is direct access onto the balcony
Balcony over the River Thames
One of the most picturesque elements of London Rowing Club is the balcony that offers your wedding guests summer drinking overlooking the river and views along the stunning landscape.
