Summer Wedding at Ham Yard Hotel
DAN & DANIELLESummer Wedding at Ham Yard Hotel
I’ve capture several weddings at Ham Yard Hotel and have thoroughly enjoyed every one. It’s snugged away in central London, overlooking SoHo and Piccadilly Circus, yet somehow seems to blend boutique London hotel with privacy and seclusion. I suspect this is primarily down to the fabulous garden roof terrace and the private rooms downstairs that lend the hotel intimacy to its bride and grooms.
Dan and Danielle’s wedding at The Ham Yard Hotel was a fabulous day, rich with family, friends and laughter – the definition of a good wedding.

Ham Yard Hotel Wedding Photography:
I met Danielle in her room at the Ham Yard Hotel, and although we had spoken several times over the phone and during our consultation sessions, it was nice to finally meet her, the kids and her parents as they prepared for the big day.
Dan got ready in a nearby room, juggling their youngest child and putting the finishing touches to the days details.
The wedding took place on the hotels garden roof terrace, which they also used as the reception space. It’s a striking venue for a wedding and intriguing for guests who generally don’t get a birds eye view of this part of London.
After an illegal confetti throw (it was all over before they could tell us we’re not allowed), guests cracked open beers and wine and enjoyed the city sunshine high above the rest of the world. Impromptu speeches caught me on the hop, but that’s weddings and I’m used to expecting the unexpected, before we made it downstairs for bowling and dancing.
Dan and Danielle were sharing their wedding day with one of the biggest European football games in the last few years. Two English sides were playing, peeking interest for most of the guests, so Dan and Danielle embraced the 90 minutes, treating guests to both top flight football and bowling! Later in the evening was a quiz for guests to get to know each other, finding out who did what job….The kids asked me 3 times what I did for a living during the course of the evening, despite carrying two cameras and photographing them the entire day – clearly photography is not an aspiring career choice these days 🙂
This was a lovely wedding to be a part of and a real pleasure to get to know family and friends. With special thanks to Simon Lewis Photography who assisted me on the day.
Enjoy
